I started Your Fertility Journey because I felt frustrated that women like you were not being offered advice on how to maximise your ability to conceive naturally when trying for a baby.

I’ve seen first-hand, having worked with hundreds of women, how disheartening it can be when you’re told by your doctor to ‘go away and keep trying’, especially when you have so many questions or a nagging worry about your fertility. For many women, there’s a strong sense of running out of time, which can add to your stress levels.
Not knowing where to turn, your first port of call may be the Internet, which is packed full of blogs and forums that give out incorrect advice and only serve to perpetuate some of the myths surrounding conception.

Unfortunately too, there are many websites and businesses that exist to capitalise on women who feel vulnerable, alone and desperate to become pregnant, selling apps or expensive equipment with the promise that ‘you will conceive or your money back’.

No-one can guarantee a pregnancy.

However, I believe that every woman has the right to learn the knowledge that could help them conceive naturally and avoid invasive, expensive and sometimes unnecessary fertility investigations and treatment. Through Your Fertility Journey, I promise to give correct advice, support and knowledge that will help you maximise your chances of conception.

About me

If you’re wondering what qualifies me to help you, let me introduce myself. My name is Kate Davies and I’m a registered nurse with more than 20 years’ experience in Gynaecology, Women’s Health, and Sexual and Contraceptive Health. I’ve managed Sexual Health and Contraceptive Services and have a first class honours degree in Sexual Health. I’m also a qualified Advanced Practitioner in Fertility Awareness and practice within both the NHS and the private sector.

My greatest joy in my work is naturally when one of my patients conceives but there are other memorable moments too. It’s great when a woman has an ‘aha!’ moment about her fertility indicators – when she suddenly unlocks the hidden secrets of her body and can determine when she is most likely to conceive.
