How much do consultations cost?
We offer initial 1-hour consultations starting at £98, with 30-minute follow-ups if needed at £89. For a detailed pricing guide of all of our services, please see our individual service pages.
I don’t live anywhere near your clinic; can I still arrange a consultation?
Yes, all of our consultations are held via online video, so it doesn’t matter where you live in the UK!
How long do the consultations last?
Each consultation lasts for approximately 1 hour.
For a fertility consultation, is it necessary for my partner to attend too?
Your partner is very welcome to attend, but it is not essential. When talking about fertility, we will cover your partner’s fertility health too. If your partner is not able to attend, you can share any information with them after the consultation.
Do you need any information from me beforehand?
When you have made your booking on our booking site, you’ll receive a medical questionnaire to complete and a consent form. These are then submitted back via our secure medical record system. You also have the option of emailing us any recent blood tests or investigations and we will store these securely on our medical record system.
Is my consultation with you completely confidential?
Your consultation with us is confidential and your personal information is stored on our secure medical record system. However, as health professionals, if you divulge to us that you are at risk of harm through physical, emotional or sexual abuse or you harm others, we have a legal obligation to report this.
What information do you hold about me and my personal health?
Personal and sensitive data is collected from you for the purposes of your consultation only. No data about you is shared with a third party. All data is encrypted and stored securely on NHS trusted, cloud-based medical software, which complies with GDPR and is ISO27001 certified. Do I need to download any specific software for the video consultation?
No, not at all. We send you a Zoom video link to click on and this is all you need! We do recommend clicking on the link a little before your consultation time so that you’re all set up and good to go.
How can I trust that you are registered nurses, and you have the knowledge to advise me?
All nurses at YFJ are registered and regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). You can check out the registration here – https://www.nmc.org.uk/registration/search-the-register/. Our nursing team has extensive knowledge in the field of women’s health and as part of our NMC registration, we are required to maintain up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practice.
